Cabbage Rolls:
Cabbage,
2 lbs beef
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup onion
1 cup soaked bread
Nutmeg
2 eggs
Bacon
Olive Oil
Carrot
Celery root
Tomato Paste
Cabbage water
Chicken broth
Cornstarch water
Parsley
1) Cut the base of the cabbage and cook cabbage in boiling water for 8 minutes. Set aside.
2) Combine the beef with salt, pepper, onion, nutmeg, eggs and soaked bread. Form the beef mixture into ball shape. Fill individual cabbage leaves with formed beef ball. Wrap each cabbage ball with bacon.
3) Add olive oil in skillet. Add onion, carrot, celery root, tomato paste, cabbage water. Season with salt and pepper and pour the sauce over the cabbage ball. Bake for 375 degree for 45 minutes.
4) Sift the sauce into a skillet. Add corn starch water. Stir well and cooked. Pour over the cabbage ball.
